I'm trying to get the sysmon information but unfortunately sysmon can only be run by off-shored teams - it make performance monitoring very tricky but will keep trying. (Sybase roles aren't great for companies with out-sourced DBAs).

Thanks for the information of disk i/o structures and the others. I've found a few parameters we can increase and will add that to the list.

We only have 24 engines are the moment - but are buying a new machine with 48.

Would you expect to tweak the APF high or lower ?

BTW, the caches have 32 partitions.

disk i/o structures are 12,000

but maxa sync i/os per engine are only 2000
