Re: Extracting the C# ADO.NET drivers without installing

Hi Mike,

What exactly do you mean by not thread safe - are you hitting one of the issues with the multi-thread apps throwing exceptions (CR 761887/764140)?

The installer, unfortunately isn't designed to allow extraction of individual components.

What are the issue(s) with the SP130?

As for the log - it should be in the %SYBASE%\log directory.  If not there something real bad happened to those components - maybe the %SYBASE%\SDK_Suite.log will have information?

Lastly, the SDK itself is composed of threaded and some not threaded APIs (Like DBLIB and the non-threaded libraries in the CTLIB API). The ASE Windows drivers are generally thread-safe and obviously, certain conditions do expose some thread issue which we tend to escalate and resolve quickly.

If there is serious issue with SP130 please create an incident with SAP Support.

Cheers,

-Paul
