Understanding a warning after execute the command "alter database"

Hi community.

I need your help with this case:

I have ASE 15.7 and I need extend a portion of data and log. When I execute the alter database command, I receipt the following warning:

Warning: Using ALTER DATABASE to extend the log segment

will cause user thresholds on the log segment within 128

pages of the last

chance threshold to be disabled.

The process of "alter database" finish without problem, but I want understand What  mean this warning?
