Hello ASE experts,
Oracle does checksum to make sure the returned data is correct when it reads a block from disk.
If data is changed by accident after written to disk, Oracle will be aware of this change and reports a bad block.
Does ASE do same things? Any configuration parameters for this?
If not, what if the storage returns bad data? Which means ASE would never know it is bad and use it as correct data, it is horrible.
Thanks,
Cole Huang
