Jean-Pierre,

All due respect for ISUG-TECH, but the enhancement request process there on the website is the subject of conversation about once every year on discussion boards like this.  The perception, which is very much reality, is that the enhancement request process under ISUG-TECH has little to no influence on product changes.

For example, I have an enhancement request submitted in 2012 which has the highest vote average (4.86 out of 5) of all "Open for Voting" enhancements.   It's been stuck in the same status "open for voting" for 4 years now.  Not to mention that active voters are few and far between.   Another member (Michael Peppler) has had a highly desirable enhancement request "Active- under consideration" since 2008.   And many, many, many more examples...

The truth is, only feature requests filed internally by folks like Bret above (quote:  "I've opened new feature request 795930..." ), with customer incidents tied to them get any action.  And in most cases, the level of attention probably depends on which customers are submitting those incidents.   And, if they so happen to correspond with an ISUG-TECH request which is the same or similar, that request gets updated in the ISUG-TECH system.

I'd love to be told otherwise, but for quite some number of years now, that enhancement request process is just not effective.   The only way i see changes coming from customers, is by submitting incidents/cases to SAP/Sybase, and associating them with an existing internal enhancement which is almost impossible for a customer to know unless he/she reads these boards and has the enhancement id at their disposal.

My opinions here of course.  Humbly submitted, and with great gratitude for ISUG-TECH.
