I'd add to the list of questions:
- What's the RS topology? Warm Standby or MSA?
- Do you have RA active on one side only or on both (in case of reversible MSA config)?
- How did you switch your active - WS based or MSA based?
Your replicate side should definitely not have STP enabled nor hold your log - unless you have very poor IO subsystem and very small log. For the primary side I'd also add a comment about DML on tables with triggers. These may also pose an issue if the DML rate is very high and you run on a lousy ZFS IO layout.
As of 15.7 SP100 you have loginfo function (or sp_xact_loginfo from SP110) to check what is holding your log. It may be handy for your 15.7 ASE side. See doco on infocenter.
