I'd add to the list of questions:

 

  1. What's the RS topology?  Warm Standby or MSA?
  2. Do you have RA active on one side only or on both (in case of reversible MSA config)?
  3. How did you switch your active - WS based or MSA based?

 

Your replicate side should definitely not have STP enabled nor hold your log - unless you have very poor IO subsystem and very small log.  For the primary side I'd also add a comment about DML on tables with triggers.  These may also pose an issue if the DML rate is very high and you run on a lousy ZFS IO layout.

 

As of 15.7 SP100 you have loginfo function (or sp_xact_loginfo from SP110) to check what is holding your log.  It may be handy for your 15.7 ASE side.  See doco on infocenter.
