Thanks for replying.

1)when i goto path cd $SYBASE - it goes to /sybase/<SID>.

but here i am unable to find out the hosts.allow file.

let's say i have two physical hosts

physical1.example.com - 172.xx.xx.1

physical2.example.com - 172.xx.xx.2

and one virtual

virtual.example.com - 172.xx.xx.0

then how we can do entry in hosts.allow file, my installation is going on this this server 172.xx.xx.1

2)i can see file hosts.allow on  /etc, is it one you are talking about or other one ?
