Peter - hires_timeout_enable enables high resolution timers within HPUX.   Without this, certain OS functions that timeout have a minimum of 10 milliseconds (a pretty long time - think disk IO)....

Actually, the table of 800MB and 12GB in index likely suggests there are text/image columns in the table as text/image are stored in index chains (indid=255).

This process name parses out as "Threshold manager node recovery rebuild", you would typically see it when bringing up a node that went down hard.  It means the threshold manager is doing free space...
