I just installed the latest SP02 for the ASE 16.0 (over an existing ASE 16.0 SP01 installation) on our local Windows 2012 Server. Turns out, installation works fine, but the sqlserver.exe won't start any more. 
Of course we have support, so after creating a SAP Case (sorry, i mean incident), the technical support tells me that my operating system is not supported. You need Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2012 R2 (so not just Windows 2012). This really frustrates me, because in the specs of the ASE 16.0 (no SP), the Windows 2012 Server IS supported. So SP02 breaks this supported OS! Technical supports advice is to upgrade from our Windows 2012 Datacenter to Windows 2012 R2 datacenter. In the windows world, this is pretty pricy, so not really an option for us at the moment...
Just wanted to post this, so that anyone running ASE 16 on a Windows 2012 (not R2) is notified if they want to upgrade to the SP02.
